“In response to the implementation of the no visitor policy, Bridgepoint is leveraging technology using Zoom in order to facilitate virtual visits between patients and their caregivers. One virtual visit that took place this week was between a palliative care patient and her husband, son and daughter-in-law. During the visit, the patient provided her family with a tour of her room and she ended the conversation by singing an Irish love song to her husband. The family reported they really enjoyed it. It means so much for us to be able to see her and see how happy it makes her husband. This is just one of the ways that we are supporting our patients and caregivers during this challenging time.”

“Being part of the Phase 3A team has given me the opportunity to engage with various areas of the hospital and understand the needs of many departments. “I was on a screening shift on the ground floor at Bridgepoint for four hours. I would like to share my appreciation of several colleagues who, during my shift, on their way in or out of the hospital, asked me if I needed anything (food, drinks, etc.). This is a beautiful example of our values of humanity and service in action, particularly our service to each other.”
