The 'Cath Lab’ that’s redefining cardiovascular research

At the heart of our groundbreaking work is the Mecklinger-Posluns Cardiac Catheterization Research Laboratory, the only lab of its kind in Canada.

Led by Dr. Susanna Mak, Director of the Anna Prosserman Heart Function Clinic and Deputy Director of Clinical Research at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, this lab is redefining cardiovascular research.

Our experts use advanced imaging and real-time monitoring, even placing monitors directly inside the heart – a unique approach that provides unprecedented insights into heart failure, high blood pressure and other life-threatening conditions.
