Dr. Evelyn Lock

Dr. Evelyn Lock is a Board-certified Chiropractor, Registered Kinesiologist and is certified in Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University. She has a special interest in patient- centered collaboration for the treatment of chronic pain, sports injuries, concussions (acute and persisting symptoms), craniofacial/ jaw pain, neurological conditions and nociplastic pain. She uses a combination of hands-on treatment, exercise/ movement prescription, acupuncture, patient education (knowledge is empowering), neuroplastic rehabilitation and motor sensory integration to reach patient- provided goals.

Dr. Lock often works with other healthcare providers offering specific consultation for concussion management (exertional testing, vertigo, whiplash, pacing & return to work/ school), chronic pain conditions (motor/ sensory integration, deconditioning, dizziness, patient education, and second opinion assessment (referred by treating clinician). 

Dr. Lock is passionate about  self-determination and empowering patients to first reach their specific goals, and then to independently sustain them. Whether it is physical strengthening, pain reduction, symptoms resolution, pre/post-operative rehabilitation, lifestyle or whole health goals,  she works closely with her patients to develop a program for immediate treatment, as well as a long-term plan that patients can independently maintain.

She is a Clinical Mentor in Graduate Studies in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Toronto where she focused on knowledge translation from the evidence to direct patient care. Evelyn has been actively involved in clinical education at MSH, U of T, and Project ECHO (domestically and internationally). In 2019, Dr. Lock received the Community Service Award from the Ontario Chiropractic Association.
