Patient Meals at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital

Learn more about patient meal options.

What we do

We cook nearly all our patient food, from macaroni and cheese to hearty soups, on site using fresh ingredients.

More than 1,400 meal trays go out from our kitchen to feed our more than 450 patients every day—plus the occasional birthday cupcake!

Menu

We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and three snacks every day. We offer at least two choices of entrée for lunch and dinner plus soup, juice, milk, rolls, dessert and coffee or tea.

You can also choose from a list of simple alternatives, like a grilled chicken breast or a bowl of congee, instead of the daily choices.

Our menu runs on a 28-day cycle before repeating and includes meals like pasta, stir-fries, curries, stews, and meat and potato dishes.

Preferences and restrictions

Please let us know of any allergies and special diets at admission and we will enter them into your patient chart. You can also tell unit staff about your dietary preferences.

We work with your dietitian and your care team to make sure your dietary needs and preferences are taken into account and the menu you choose from will already reflect those restrictions.

We also serve kosher and vegetarian meals. Other food restrictions such as gluten-free or dairy-free diets can also be accommodated.

While we are careful to accommodate all food allergies, the kitchen is not a nut-free facility.
