Melanie has many years of experience working as a physiotherapist in orthopaedics and sports medicine. She obtained her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto after graduating from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics.

Melanie enjoys working with patients of all ages and help them reach their goals, whether it be returning to a sport or improving their well-being. She integrates various treatment techniques into her patients’ treatment plans, which may include manual therapy, exercise training, acupuncture and dry needling. As a certified Pilates instructor, Melanie incorporates Pilates-based strengthening into rehabilitation programs targeting conditions like sciatica, rotator cuff tendinopathies, postural weakness, osteoarthritis, and post-surgical strengthening.  

Melanie also completed her Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Therapy with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (FCAMPT). Certified in integrative dry needling, she effectively manages pain, reduces myofascial tension and addresses neuromuscular conditions. In addition to her clinical practice, Melanie is a registered mentor with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and an adjunct Lecturer with the University of Toronto, Physical Therapy department.
