Dr. Dina Reiss earned her medical degree at Chicago Medical School, Chicago, Illinois and completed her residency in General Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. She completed a Fellowship in Endocrinology & Metabolism at the University of Toronto. Dr. Reiss is currently an Assistant Professor in the Division of Endocrinology at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Reiss specializes in diabetes, obesity and thyroid disease management. She also has a keen interest in General Internal Medicine and Hospital Medicine. She works both in the inpatient setting as well as outpatient clinics, in which she provides care to patients living with diabetes and general endocrine conditions. While working as a hospitalist, she is interested in providing patient-centred care in order to promote positive patient outcomes. She is a firm believer that collaboration is the key to improving health outcomes. She enjoys working closely with patients and inter-professionally with other health care team members to optimize care.

Dr. Reiss is a clinician teacher in the Department of Medicine. In her role as Hennick Bridgepoint’s Education Lead for the Division of Hospital Medicine, she has expanded the hospital’s educational footprint. Specifically, she has created novel educational rounds (including the inaugural Hennick Bridgepoint Inter-professional Grand Rounds), a joint MD-RN inter-professional educational pilot and has also increased learner volumes. Additionally, she has a passion for teaching and is the ICE (Integrated Clinical Experience) / Clinical Skills Lead Tutor and Site Coordinator at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital.
