We accept internal referrals from physicians at Mount Sinai Hospital.

To refer a patient to the following clinics, visit the Toronto Academic Pain Medicine Institute (TAPMI)'s centralized referral hub. TAPMI directs all referrals to the most appropriate pain clinic, depending on the specialty and wait time.

• The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program

TAPMI accept referrals from physicians and nurse practitioners. Please note that patients must have a primary care provider for referrals to be accepted.

We provide pain management recommendations for perinatal patients with various pain presentations.

Our services include:

• Assessment and management of musculoskeletal or neurologic conditions
• Assessments for pregnant individuals with concurrent pain and opioid use disorder
• Management of chronic pain symptoms during the perinatal period
• Pharmacotherapy recommendations, including opioid management and tapering
• Rehabilitative and non-pharmacologic management plans
• Management of new or chronic headache disorders in pregnancy or within 6 months postpartum
