Critical Care

Our Intensive Care Unit and Coronary Care Unit care for patients with the highest medical needs.

The Critical Care team provides care for patients with the highest medical needs. This includes patients experiencing severe illness, post-surgical or obstetrical complications, or heart conditions that need more monitoring.

We care for patients from within Mount Sinai Hospital, the adjacent Princess Margaret Cancer Centre or other community hospitals.

As a fully affiliated partner with the University of Toronto, we also conduct groundbreaking research and train future leaders in critical care.

Our Intensive Care Unit, Coronary Care Unit and leading-edge educational skills lab, provide a dynamic learning environment for students, residents and fellows to learn and practice new skills.
