An endoscopy is a medical procedure in which a miniature video camera on the end of a thin, flexible tube is used to inspect the inside of the body.  

It is an important tool used by health-care providers to screen, diagnose and monitor gastrointestinal and respiratory conditions.

​Before certain types of endoscopies, patients need to prepare by following specific instructions such as a specialized diet, fasting or taking a laxative to cleanse the colon. These instructions are provided when booking an appointment.
