Neuro-Ophthalmology

We treat vision problems caused by issues with the nervous system.

Overview

Neuro-ophthalmologists specialize in diagnosing and treating vision problems caused by issues with the nervous system (nerves and brain), rather than the eye itself.

Symptoms

Symptoms

You may be referred to a neuro-ophthalmologist if you have symptoms that suggest a neurological problem, including:

  • Double vision
  • Headaches with vision loss
  • Eye lid problems
  • Uneven pupils
  • Eye pain
  • Other vision symptoms that are not caused by a problem with the eye
