General Gynaecology Clinic

We diagnose and treat a variety of gynaecological conditions.

What we do

Our Gynaecology team diagnoses and treats a variety of disorders that affect the reproductive organs. We specialize in complex conditions that may extend beyond the scope of a community gynaecologist.

We see patients with different conditions including endometriosis, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, menstrual disorders and more.

What to expect

At your first appointment a gynaecologist will ask about your medical history and symptoms, and perform a physical exam.

The gynaecologist may recommend diagnostic tests such as blood work or ultrasounds to help us better understand your condition.

Our team will then work with you to develop a care plan that is specific to your needs. Your treatment plan may include any of the following:

  • Medication
  • Iron supplements to treat anemia if you experience heavy bleeding
  • Hormonal contraceptives such as birth control pills or IUDs
  • Surgery

Follow-up appointments to help us monitor your condition during treatment may be recommended.

Please note we are a teaching hospital, so you may see a medical students, residents, fellows or other medical trainees as part of your care. Learners are supervised by other members of our dedicated care team who work together to provide you with comprehensive care.
