The Frances Bloomberg Centre for Women's & Infants' Health at Mount Sinai Hospital specializes in providing expert care across many areas of reproductive health.

Our interprofessional team of health-care providers are leaders in caring for patients with a variety of gynaecological conditions and throughout the stages of pregnancy, labour and birth. We specialize in high-risk pregnancies and care for the most vulnerable newborns.

Mount Sinai is home to the Ontario Fetal Centre which offers a comprehensive range of in-utero fetal therapies to treat a broad spectrum of conditions. The Medical Disorders of Pregnancy program cares for patients with underlying medical conditions during pregnancy.

Each year, we oversee more than 7,000 births, including approximately 1,100 premature deliveries, and provide the highest level of care in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Our physicians use advanced techniques including laparoscopic and robotic procedures to treat gynaecological conditions, and we provide comprehensive clinical support to more than 2,500 menopausal patients each year.

Our program is internationally recognized for its evidence-based research that allows us to offer innovative treatments to patients.

As a fully affiliated partner with the University of Toronto, we attract medical students, residents and learners from around the world, fostering an environment of continual learning and collaboration.

Dr. Matthew Sermer, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist-in-Chief
Within obstetrics and gynaecology, there’s happy medicine, and there’s sad medicine. We see patients young and old; patients that are well, and those that have complex medical issues.
