Endocrinologists are experts in conditions related to the body's hormones.
Our endocrinologists specialize in diagnosing, assessing and managing people with conditions including the following:
- Diabetes
- Thyroid disease, including thyroid cancer, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules and hypothyroidism
- Parathyroid disease, including hyperparathyroidism and hypoparathyroidism
- Pituitary disease, including pituitary tumours, Cushing disease, acromegaly, diabetes insipidus and hypopituitarism
- Adrenal diseases, including adrenal tumours, hyperaldosteronism, pheochromocytoma, congenital adrenal hyperplasia and Addison's disease
What to expect
At your first appointment, your endocrinologist will go over your medical history and discuss options for managing your condition.
We will then work with you to decide on a care plan that is specific to your needs. Your treatment plan may include any of the following:
- Medications
- Lifestyle changes
- Surgery
We may recommend follow-up appointments to help us monitor your condition during treatment.
Please note we are a teaching hospital, so you may see medical students, residents or fellows as part of your care. Learners are supervised by other members of our dedicated health-care team who work together to provide you with comprehensive care.

- A list of physicians you are currently seeing
