Psychiatry Care Team

Our dedicated Psychiatry care team works together to provide you with comprehensive care.

Psychiatrists

Psychiatrists are specialized physicians who provide expert care for a range of psychiatric conditions.

Nurses

Nurses provide counselling, education and support for patients to help them manage and understand their treatment plans. Our nurses have special training in psychiatry and may be a part of your care.

Mental health clinicians

Our mental health clinicians have special training in psychiatry and provide individual and group interventions to support your mental health. All mental health clinicians are regulated health professionals, such as social workers, occupational therapists and psychologists.

Inpatient health disciplines team

Our health disciplines clinicians on the inpatient unit include a pharmacist, social worker and occupational therapist.

Peer support workers

Working on our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT), our peer support workers offer empathetic guidance and support based on personal experiences to individuals facing mental health challenges. They foster empowerment and facilitate skills in self-care and recreation.

Learners

Mount Sinai Hospital is a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto. You may see medical students, residents or other medical trainees as part of your care. Learners are supervised by other members of the health-care team.

Volunteers

Our volunteers provide leisure programming across our programs.
