Dentistry

We deliver patient-centered oral and dental care in a hospital environment.

Dentistry at Mount Sinai Hospital has evolved from a volunteer clinic in the 1950s to one of Canada's largest and most academically vibrant dental programs.

Today, our dedicated team of dentists and surgeons is committed to delivering excellent, patient-centered oral and dental care to patients with complex medical conditions and disabilities in a hospital environment.

Our program is comprised of multiple dental clinics specializing in the treatment of rare, challenging-to-treat, and difficult-to-diagnose conditions. Additionally, we take pride in being the exclusive site for Ontario's ministry-funded program dedicated to comprehensive temporomandibular joint (TMJ) reconstruction.

As a fully affiliated partner with the University of Toronto, our clinics proudly serve as hubs for both education and research conducted by our clinicians. The insights gained not only contribute to patient care globally but also play a pivotal role in training thousands of learners through our safe and inclusive dental clinics.

A note about fees:

While our dental clinics are in a hospital setting, most dental fees are not covered by OHIP.  The cost of care not covered by OHIP is your responsibility. See our dentistry fees for more information.
