We provide expert and seamless care for patients with heart disease.

The cardiac care team at the Miles Nadal Heart Centre works across our inpatient units, specialty outpatient clinics and diagnostic testing suites to provide expert and seamless care to patients with heart disease.

People travel from across Ontario and Canada to visit our centre. Our cardiologists specialize in managing advanced-stage heart failure, heart disease in pregnant patients or those who wish to become pregnant, and sleep apnea and breathlessness.

We also see patients with a range heart concerns, including high blood pressure, angina, coronary artery disease and heart valve disease.

We are proud to have the only cardiac catheterization (cath) lab that is dedicated to research in Canada. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for examining the mechanics of the heart from the inside. Our research is helping us to better understand heart function, including the impact of exercise on the heart and the differences between men’s and women’s hearts.

As an academic health sciences centre affiliated with the University of Toronto, the Mount Sinai Cardiology program is dedicated to training future leaders in cardiac medicine.

Catheterization Lab

We perform cardiac procedures and testing in our state-of-the-art catheterization lab.
